AmCham Panama Welcomes Its 2026 Leadership
Icaza, González-Ruiz & Alemán congratulates the new 2026 Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce Panama (AmCham Panama), and especially our partner, Mariela de la Guardia Oteiza, who has assumed the presidency of AmCham Panama for the year 2026.
For our firm, it is an honor to accompany Mariela in this new chapter of her professional career, which reaffirms her leadership and her commitment to strengthening commercial relations between Panama and the United States, as well as to supporting the country’s business development.
A Ceremony with High-Level Institutional Presence
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Panama City, with the participation of AmCham members, business leaders, and special guests. The event included remarks by H.E. Kevin Marino Cabrera, United States Ambassador to Panama, and H.E. Astrid Ábrego, Vice Minister of Foreign Trade of the Republic of Panama, underscoring the institutional and diplomatic importance of this leadership transition.
The occasion also recognized the outstanding leadership of the outgoing president, Niurka Montero, General Manager of Dell Technologies Panama. Her dynamism, dedication, and commitment during her tenure left a significant mark on the organization and on the Panamanian business community.
