Career Trajectory
Francisco González-Ruiz has been a partner at Icaza, González-Ruiz & Alemán since 1987, and is now a member of the partners of counsel. He specializes in Administrative Law, Corporate Law, and Intellectual Property.
He has participated in the discussion and drafting of laws on Industrial Property.
Francisco is a member of the Panamanian Association of Intellectual Property Law (APADEPI) and the Panama Bar Association.
In 2020, the Panama Bar Association recognized him with the Eduardo Morgan medal due to his outstanding performance as a legal professional for over 45 in benefit of the organization and the country.
He has also been recognized as a highly regarded lawyer by IFLR1000.
In his spare time, he enjoys photography, baseball, and bullfighting.

- He participated in the discussion and drafting of a Draft of Bill by which, the rules of the Judicial Code oral proceedings, judgments concerning Industrial Property were submitted to discussion, and provisions of said Code were modified.
- He participated in the drafting and discussion of a Draft of Bill on Industrial Property, which was approved by the Legislature Assembly (Law 35 of May 10th, 1996).
