Executive Decree No. 6 of 2024 regulates Law 309 of 2022, establishing the Aguadulce Special Economic Area and Multipurpose Port Terminal.
By consolidating Aguadulce as a center for commercial, industrial, and port development, and encouraging the economy and investment, this decree offers fiscal and labor benefits to companies, with special regimes for certain entities. Additionally, it contributes to social and environmental programs. The Multipurpose Port Terminal provides maintenance services and cargo operations, complying with international port security standards.
Aguadulce Special Economic Area:
- Promotes the development and operation of commercial, industrial and port activities.
- Promotion of import, export and logistics services.
- Incentives for economic growth and investment.
What does it offer?
- Tax and labor benefits for companies.
- Special regimes for headquarters of multinational companies and operating companies of Agroparks.
- Contribution to social programs and projects in environmental education and conservation.
Multipurpose Port Terminal:
- Maintenance, repair and conversion services for ships or vessels.
- Passenger and crew baggage loading and unloading operations.
- Port security and safety plans in compliance with international regulations.
Environmental Commitment:
- Compliance with national and international standards in pollution prevention.
- Waste management and contingency plans for environmental protection.
